Focus on biophotonics – ICOB 2024 brings together research, industry, and medicine in Jena.

What are current trends in the field of Biophotonics? How can the latest research results be brought to the market? And which are interesting fields of applications for these solutions?

To answer these questions a few members of the AG Schie joined the 7th International Congress on Biophotonics (ICOB 2024) that took place in the Volkhaus in Jena from 3 – 7 March 2024. They used the opportunity to connect to other partcipants and presented their own work. About 350 people from research, industry, politics and the medical section took part. Over 80 lectures, short talks and an extensive poster exhibition were part of the event. Konstantin Gramatte – a member of the AG Schie – also presented his first scientific poster about the research project INTACT and the progress made so far.

The ICOB was organized by the Leibniz Institue for Photonuc Technology (Leibniz IPHT) together with the German Society for Biophotonics and Laser Medicine (DGLM).
