From vision to collaboration: TOOLS sets the stage for groundbreaking research.
On November 3 2024, the entire TOOLS project team came together at Haus auf der Mauer for the kick-off workshop. The aim of the event was to create a solid foundation for future collaboration between all those involved and to strengthen cooperation between the individual research units in the long term.
The TOOLS project brings together five specialized research units: In addition to the “Deep Tissue Imaging” research unit of the Biophotonic Instrumentation Group, three other research groups of the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena and the University Hospital Jena are involved. In addition, the project is supported by accompanying social science research and the Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (ZAKI), which is also based at the EAH Jena.
The diversity of the disciplines involved characterizes the TOOLS project in particular. The kick-off workshop therefore offered a valuable opportunity to get to know each other, discuss common goals and develop strategies to strengthen team cohesion. Various formats are planned for the future to promote communication and exchange within the team in the long term: Regular project meetings, laboratory tours and regulars’ tables are intended to further deepen the interdisciplinary dialog. We look forward to a productive and inspiring collaboration!
